1) Who we are

CS Insider (“CS Insider”, “we”, “us”) publishes content and newsletters for Customer Success professionals.
‍Site: csinsider.co
‍Contact: brandon@csinsider.co
‍Postal: 5834C N Kings Highway #4914, Alexandria, VA 22303, USA

2) What we collect

We keep things minimal. We do not operate user accounts on our site and we do not process payments on our site.

  • Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe via a form on our site (hosted on Webflow) or a MailerLite form, we collect your email and (optionally) name.
  • Communications. If you email us or submit a contact form, we process the information you choose to provide.
  • Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and does not use persistent identifiers or collect personal data for tracking.
  • Embeds. Some pages may embed Notion documents. If you interact with the embed, Notion may receive technical/usage data (see §5/§8).

We do not sell products or take payments on our website, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information.

3) How we use your information

  • Provide what you requested (newsletters/resources you sign up for).
  • Operate and secure the website and improve our content (aggregate analytics via Plausible).
  • Communicate with you about updates or replies to your inquiries.
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.

We do not use third-party ads, ad pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising.

4) Lawful bases (EU/UK GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for email marketing; and for loading any non-essential cookies/embeds in the EU/UK.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to operate a secure website and understand aggregate usage using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible).

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see §10).

5) Cookies & similar technologies

  • Plausible — no cookies; measurements are aggregated and anonymous.
  • Notion embeds — may set cookies or collect usage/telemetry for embed functionality.
  • MailerLite embedded forms — may set cookies for form behavior (e.g., controlling popups, load balancing).

EU/UK consent

For visitors in the EU/UK, we show a banner that lets you Accept or Reject non-essential cookies/embeds before they load. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie Preferences in our footer (or the banner’s preferences link).

If you prefer a cookie-free experience, you may Reject non-essential cookies; you can still read our content (some embedded features may not load until accepted).

6) The services that process your data (processors)

We only share what’s necessary with trusted providers:

  • Webflow — website hosting and native forms.
  • MailerLite — email delivery and subscription management.
  • APIX-Drive — automation that sends Webflow form submissions to MailerLite.
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
  • Notion — embedded documents (if you view embedded Notion content).

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not grant providers permission to use your data for their own marketing.

7) International transfers

Some providers may process data outside your country/region (e.g., the United States or EU member states). Where required, we and/or our providers use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other applicable transfer safeguards to protect your information.

8) Third-party links and embeds

Our site may link to or embed third-party content (e.g., Notion). When you follow a link or interact with an embed, the third party’s own privacy/cookie practices apply. If you prefer not to share data with an embedded service, use the Reject option in the cookie banner or follow the link to view the content directly on the third party’s website.

9) Retention

  • Newsletter data — kept until you unsubscribe or we remove inactive records after a reasonable period.
  • Communications — kept as long as needed to respond and for legitimate record-keeping.
  • Analytics — Plausible stores only aggregated, non-personal metrics without cookies.

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law.

10) Your choices & rights

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message or by contacting privacy@csinsider.co.
  • Cookie preferences — for EU/UK visitors, use the banner or the Cookie Preferences link in our footer to change consent.

Your rights (EU/UK and, where applicable, other regions)

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise rights, contact privacy@csinsider.co.

California (CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

11) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) Children

Our content is for professionals and not directed to children under the age defined by local law (13 in the U.S.; up to 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13) Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if our practices change. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
